The OAM (Olivia Artz Modular) Time Machine is an 8-tap stereo Eurorack delay module with a tactile, slider-based interface for mixing delays. It offers a vast time range—from short comb filtering and flanger effects to long, rhythmic echoes and loops. Key features include clockable tapped delay lines, spread options for spacing, and a gritty, characterful DSP engine.

Key Features and Capabilities:

  • Multi-tap Control: Eight individual sliders adjust the level of eight different delay taps, allowing for complex rhythmic patterns.
  • Extensive Timing: Delay times range from sub-millisecond (for karplus–strong or comb filters) to several seconds.
  • Clocking & Modulation: Delay times can be quantized to an external clock or modulated via CV.
  • Spread Function: Controls the spacing of the taps, bringing them closer together or spreading them further out.
  • Sonic Character: Capable of producing rhythmic glitches, resonant washes, and intense feedback.
  • Expandability: A dedicated expander (by Timo Rozendal) adds filters (lowpass, highpass, bandpass) and stereo effects per tap.
The module is designed for performance, allowing players to manipulate delay times and mix tap levels in real-time to create textured soundscapes.

As the DSP engine was refined a sonic character emerged that howls like guitar feedback while granulizing like the grey goo at the end of the universe. The resulting module can create clocked rhythmic glitch effects, reverbs, chaos, and ego-death.

Time Machine DIY kit is a very simple build suitable for beginners.

  • 22 HP
  • 25 mm deep
  • 122 mA +12V, 8 mA -12V
  • 24-bit audio in/out (-5V to +5V)
  • 16-bit CV control (-5V to +5V)
