Beads is available as pcb/panel, pcba (smd pre-soldered)/panel, full kit and built calibrated module.

The pcba has all smd parts including the smd switches pre-soldered and firmware pre-installed.

Full kits include the pcba as above and all other parts needed to build the module.

Anodized aluminium Antumbra panels to match the rest of the Mutated range will be available soon.

Mutable Instruments Beads is a hardware Eurorack texture synthesizer and granular audio processor, and it is the reimagined successor to the popular Clouds module. Designed by Emilie Gillet.
Core Features and Specifications
Audio Processing: Real-time stereo granular synthesis that chops incoming signals into overlapping micro-grains. 
Alternative Roles: Functions as a delay, a granular pitch-shifter, a tape/media emulator, a standalone reverb, or a wavetable voice. 
Wavetable Oscillator: When the audio inputs are left unpatched, Beads automatically transforms into an 8-bank wavetable synth voice. 
Quality Modes: Offers four distinct sample rate and buffer styles:
  • Bright digital (white LED)
  • Cold digital (green LED)
  • Sunny tape with wow and flutter (orange LED)
  • Scorched cassette (red LED) [1, 2, 3]
Hardware Stats: 14 HP width, 25mm depth, requiring +12V (100mA) and -12V (10mA) power, with a recording buffer ranging from 4 to 32 seconds. [1]
