BUILT MODULE – Stripple / Popple (Stereo Ripples v1) with black anodized aluminium Antumbra panel

£149.99 (exc VAT)

This listing is for a full kit to build a Stripple module with power cable and mounting screws.

Stripple is an 8hp multimode stereo filter based on the Mutable Instruments Ripples V1 filter section. Stripple maintains the buttery smoothness of Ripples filter while giving you two separate audio paths. The audio paths share a resonance, control, a frequency cutoff control, resonance CV input, and a v/oct cutoff CV input. Each channel then has it’s own cutoff CV input with attenuverters (which are normalled to a 2.5V signal).

Stripple will also self-oscillate at high resonance settings, when coupled with the v/oct CV control. Stripple can act as a dual sine wave oscillator as well.

CALIBRATION PROCEDURE

  1. Set the FREQ knob to 10 o’clock (exact position does not matter).
  2. Set the RES knob to its maximum position. Disconnect any input signal or FM modulation CV.
  3. Connect the note CV output of a well-calibrated keyboard interface or MIDI-CV converter to the V/OCT input.
  4. Listen to the tone at the low-pass output.
  5. Adjust the trimmer resistor on the side of the circuit board until the musical intervals played on the keyboard are correctly reproduced (actual note values do not matter, but when playing an octave, it must sound like an octave).

The filter is designed to track well over 4 octaves, but is not temperature-stabilized.
